Acme Oyster House

So, obviously, it was a tough call for dinner -- so many options, so little time! Being a New Yorker, I was won over by the line outside Acme Oyster House (line = must be good). We got there in the nick of time -- about 20 people piled in after us within five minutes!

The meal did not disappoint. I would say this was the best seafood on the trip so far, and definitely some of the best oysters I've ever had. We had a half dozen raw, followed by shrimp and crab gumbo (amazing), crawfish etouffé (crawfish tails in a buttery sauce served over rice) and an oyster and shrimp po' boy w/ tabasco mayo. Most uncharacteristically, Kaii was not in the mood for dessert, but I made room for bread pudding w/ whiskey sauce. It was pretty great.
